ADRA Indonesia, with extensive experience in many places constructing and also retofitting masonry houses using ferrocement layers, under technical guidance of Teddy Boen, PhD, was ready to retrofit the damaged houses during Cianjur earthquake, November 21, 2021. The retrofitting is conducted after the dissemination of retrofitting technique by Mr. Samzon Purba from ADRA Indonesia as a leader. The beneficiaries of this program is people with low income.

The residents of Cianjur are very enthusiastic about the retrofitting technique using ferrocement layers because, it is fast, easy, and economical. Many tasks involved the housewives. They are aware that earthquake-resistant houses are crucial so that they no longer need to worry or fear when earthquakes occur in the future.
